So last week before I went to Disney, I got a package from Heavenly Naturals.
Jude is the one who told me about this company and sent me the link to their Etsy page, and I am so glad she did! The second I got my package I had to rip it open because I was so excited after hearing all the rave things Jude was telling me about the shadows.
Here's a swatch picture I took last week really quickly. Just a little FYI, these are all over corresponding mehron bases. The colors on their own aren't as pigmented, but it helps LOADS if you use a regular eyeshadow primer and then something like a
MAC Cream Color Base to help grab the color. I'd recommend getting Luna, but if you have access to a Pro store, get Nude. My all time fave :)
Top to bottom, left to right:
Coutour: This is a gorgeous green-gold that is super pigmented and vibrant, you can't be missed with this on! I love metallic colors that actually look solid, like tin foil, when you put them on and this is no question!
Cha-Cha: Lovely, lovely peachy orange. This would be a gorgeous color for those with bright blue eyes that want to make them pop even more :)
Cutie Pie: This was the first color I picked out on the site! I'm the biggest sucker for those light cotton candy pinks, and this is no exception! It's a gorgeous light pink with blue-violet shimmer. It looks a bit more purple and frostier in the picture, but i think that is because of the mehron base color i used with it.
Look at Me: Remember when the MAC Neon Pigments came out, and all of you ran to me and told me how much I'd LOVE them? Well, the quality of them is horrible, color payoff is terrible, theyre super chalky.. blah blah blah. Look at me is VERY similar to the pink neon color, without the annoying texture. I must note that the texture of the mattes in this line arent the best, so having a good base is KEY.
Sea Dragon: OH MY GOSH, if you like emerald greens, put this at the top of your list! This color is so gorgeous, I can't get over it. Using this over a black base would be awesome, because the green shimmer would look ridiculous!!
Paper Doll: I like this color a lot because its very pretty without being over the top. It's a nice midtone peachy-pink with some golden shimmer, this would be a nice color to throw on your lids when you are having one of those soft-and-pretty days.
Barbie: Okay okay, I admit it. I bought it for the name, but I actually really adore this color. Such a fun bright blue-green! The only thing with this one is a sticky base (like mehron or MAC CCB) is crucial for it to live up to it's potential. its pretty sheer on it's own, but definitely gets that electric amp when used with the right base :)
Desire: Jude told me I NEEDED this one, so of course I listened! She described it to me as "MAC's Reflects Blackened Red as a shadow" and that is exactly what it is! This color is so beautiful, I can't get over it. It's such a pretty darkened red, this would be perfect for crease work to pump up a hot smokey look :)
Sweetie: In addition to loving my cotton-candy pink shadows, I looove orangey pinks. Sweetie is a nice vibrant orangey color with this brilliant pink shimmer to it. This definitely reminds me of mac's pink bronze pigment, but more vibrant and pink. It's such a pretty duochrome, i bet using it wiht a black base would make the pink shimmer look awesome!
Hypnotic: Like I said before, the mattes don't do well on their own, but hey, mattes are known for their stubbornness from any brand. When I first swatched this color on my hand, i did so without a base and was kinda iffy about it. this is on top of a very similar color from my mehron pastel pallet, and look how lovely and solid the color is! I can't wait to play with this one on my eyes :)
I also got a sample of Starry Night. which is a gorgeous black with intense silver shimmer. That is on my "to buy" list, It is SO SO SO SO gorgeous!!!
Here is Jude's Video review on the Heavenly Natural's products and how they look over different bases. If you dont have Mehron yet, Watch this!!!
